Women’s Soft Ball Cricket at Ilkley CC in 2024
With growing interest of starting a women’s division at Ilkley CC (and the rise of women’s soft ball cricket capturing the local area, including Otley, Burley and Guiseley) we are excited to announce that we’ll be putting on some taster sessions for women and girls from the Ilkley area in 2024, with a view to joining the local league in 2025.
WHAT IS IT
An opportunity to meet and socialise with other women from the club
A chance to try your hand at a new sport, learn some basic cricket skills and play some games
And most importantly, an opportunity to have some fun!
WHEN IS IT?
We will be holding 2 taster sessions on consecutive Thursdays in May. You are more than welcome to attend either a single session, or both!
Thursday 16th May, 6:00-7:30pm
Thursday 23rd May, 6:00-7:30pm
ABOUT THE SESSIONS
No equipment required, we will supply everything you need (although we recommend comfortable shoes and clothing!)
Soft ball cricket means NO traditional cricket balls and no protective equipment required
Free glass of prosecco or non-alcoholic drink at each taster session!
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Whether you’ve played cricket before, or never picked up a bat or ball, Women’s Soft Ball Cricket is suitable for women and girls of all ages and all ability levels.
